Our Story
Streets and Summits was born from a friendship that spans decades and a shared passion for exploration that knows no bounds. We – Laszlo and Peter – first met as high school classmates, but little did we know that our shared wanderlust would lead us to create this travel blog years later.
Our travel adventures have taken us from the streets of bustling cities to the summits of breathtaking mountains, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of our blog’s name. We’ve wandered through the vibrant markets of Dubai, hiked the stunning landscapes of Turkey and Georgia, and even ventured into the haunting stillness of Chernobyl. One of our most memorable journeys was a 5-week expedition across South America, where we truly honed our travel style.
While we often explore the world together, we also embark on solo adventures, bringing diverse experiences to our shared platform. Our blog isn’t about luxury resorts or ultra-touristy hotspots. Instead, we focus on authentic experiences, off-the-beaten-path destinations, and the kind of adventures that challenge and inspire.
The idea of Streets and Summits had been percolating since 2023, but it wasn’t until Peter embarked on an extended journey after leaving his job that we decided to turn our dream into reality. We launched the blog in 2024, coinciding with Laszlo’s trip to Australia, marking the beginning of our mission to share our travels with the world.
